CORE Title Services, LLC was founded by title insurance veterans. We were officers of Fidelity National Title Insurance Company who decided to start their own title insurance agency in order to provide more personal service than a large company can offer. Our priority is to offer first class, personal service to our clients. We at CORE like to consider our office to be an extension of the staff of our client’s office and we want our clients to know that we are here to assist them with any aspect of their real estate transaction that they need. Our CORE concept is to offer a boutique experience that focuses completely on our client’s needs. We founded CORE on the premise of eliminating the corporate philosophy and practices that are prevalent at large title companies and to provide the attentive service our clients expect and deserve.

After decades of managing successful companies such as STG Associates, a direct underwriting operation of Fidelity National Title Insurance Company and North Shore Abstract we know exactly what needs to be done to get your deals closed efficiently and expeditiously. With a specialty in commercial transactions as well as residential transactions, our staff utilizes their vast knowledge as well as the latest technology to get your transactions cleared and closed.

LAWRENCE GROSS

PRESIDENT AND COUNSEL

Larry has 35 years of experience as a real estate attorney and title officer. Prior to opening Core Title Services, LLC, Larry spent 8 years as a manager of a direct Fidelity National Title Insurance Company underwriting operation and he also served as New York underwriting counsel for Fidelity. Prior to his employment with Fidelity Larry spent 16 years as a partner of Zavastky, Mendelsohn, Gross, Savino and Levy, LLP, specializing in real estate. Before becoming a founding member of Zavatsky et al in 1989, Larry was an associate practicing real estate with several law offices in New York. Larry was also a certified major league baseball agent, representing several players and was an assistant general manager of the Saint Lucie Legends, a professional senior league baseball team in the 1990's. Larry received his Bachelor of Arts degree from The State University of New York at Albany in 1981 and his JD degree from Hoftstra Law School in 1984. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association and has been practicing law for 30 years.

ANDREW ZANKEL

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND MANAGER

Andrew is the 3rd generation of his family in the title insurance industry. With 17 years experience, Andrew guides our clients through the title process from application to the closing table. Andrew’s career began at First American as an examiner for their NYC office. He then joined the family business, North Shore Abstract, Ltd, as a reader and title officer. For the next 5 years he worked in every aspect of the company learning the title industry. With the merger of North Shore Abstract, Ltd into Fidelity National Title in 2008, Andrew changed his focus to sales and title closings. Now at Core Title Services, Andrew oversees the day to day operations making sure our clients have all of their needs met and expectations exceeded. Andrew graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science in 2000. He earned his Masters Degree in Real Estate Development and Finance from Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business in 2011. He is also on the board of two non profit organizations, Variety Child Learning Center and the Art League of Long Island.

IRA ZANKEL

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND COUNSEL

Ira has over 45 years experience as a real estate attorney and has been involved in the title industry since 1972. Ira served as counsel to Central Abstract Corp from 1972-1980. In 1980 he went out on his own and started North Shore Abstract, Ltd. Over the next few decades he built North Shore Abstract into a company of 40 employees and closed over 1500 deals a year. After 28 successful years, North Shore Abstract Ltd merged into Fidelity National Title where Ira served as Vice President and Counsel from 2008 to 2013. In 2013 Ira left Fidelity to start Core Title Services, LLC with Larry and Andrew. Ira utilizes his vast knowledge and experience every day as Vice President and Counsel at Core Title Services, LLC. Ira received his Bachelor of Arts from Brooklyn College in 1966 and his JD from George Washington University National Law School in 1969. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau Bar Association. Ira also taught a class on Title Insurance at Hofstra University as an adjunct professor for over 13 years.
